Way Back Wednesday: Remembering A Past Window Tinting Project
It may be an understatement to say that many people’s lives have been enriched by visiting the Science Museum Oklahoma (possibly remembered by some as the Omniplex). For generations people have marveled at the scientific wonders and new discoveries found inside. Taking a look at the museum’s history you will learn that the building itself has changed quite a bit as it has gone through many transformations since 1958. Of course, a building isn’t just about being inviting on the inside, because it’s the outside décor that has to almost subconsciously draw someone in. That’s where decorative window tinting came into play at the end of February, 2016.
FormulaOne by AES had the privilege and honor of being hired last year to apply some decorative window tinting film to the many glass pieces that now make up the sidewalk’s awning outside of the Science Museum Oklahoma. Each piece of film was carefully measured, cut, and individually applied to each rectangularly shaped piece of glass. The unique blue color of the film was meant to mimic a sort of stained glass, but at a fraction of the cost!
Now, over one year later visitors can still see the results of our handy work sticking on strong. The durable, decorative window tinting is certainly a long-lasting film that is still doing its job of providing protection from the sun’s heat, glare, and Ultraviolet Radiation. If you’ve never really taken the time to notice this film before, now you know why it’s there. If it’s been a while since your last visit, next time you’re out at the Science Museum Oklahoma look up at the decorative window tinting on your way inside!
We love helping businesses achieve various looks with many different window tinting options. If you own a business and you’d like to get started with your own project that will be sure to last for years to come, feel free to contact FormulaOne by AES at 405-513-6400.
