Window Tinting Makeovers For 2017

FormulaOne: Improving Your Window Tinting & Driving Experience

January is many things to many people, but more than anything it represents the opportunity to start fresh. Every year resolutions are made to improve upon ways of the past. Not all New Year’s resolutions have to be about improving one’s eating habits or beauty rituals as, let’s face it, most fad diets only last for the first few weeks anyway. We say, why not improve your ride instead? It’s something you utilize just about every day, so why not enjoy life on the road to the fullest? Window tinting is a nice way to give your car a subtle makeover and make your driving experience a whole lot better.

A lot of people get put off by the idea of window tinting, because they’ve usually seen an example of a bad tint job. No one wants to have peeling, bubbles, or creased window tinting. We totally understand! That’s why we express to the fullest the importance of having the job completed by professionals, like those trained at FormulaOne By AES. Not only are our people trained to do the job right, but we use the highest quality products from LLumar to ensure an exceptional installation experience.

As we stated earlier, window tinting can improve your driving experience and here’s a few ways the tint can help you:

  • It reduces glare from the sun protecting your eyes and car’s interior
  • It reduces Ultraviolet Radiation to protect your skin, eyes, and car’s interior
  • It provides an extra layer or protection against injury and damage due to flying glass

FormulaOne By AES would love the opportunity to pimp your ride with some of the best window tinting around. If you’re ready to give your car a little makeover in 2017, feel free to give us a call. We can be reached at 405-513-6400 or you can contact us online by clicking here.

A Frank Lloyd Wright House With Vista Window Film

A Case Study: Using Solar Window Film

Were you aware that a large majority of the country’s most remarkable and well-known buildings have windows that were reinforced with Vista solar control window film? Amazingly enough this window film has been proven to stop as much as 75% of the sun’s heat, reducing costly heating and cooling bills. Also, after a detailed study about the environment, Vista solar window film (Vista® VS70) was determined to be the best solution for the Frank Lloyd Wright Louis Penfield House located in Willoughby, Ohio.

Frank Lloyd Wright designed with the intention of creating harmony with the environment and we believe that the Vista window film only helps to preserve this architecture. This particular window film was designed to allow sunlight to shine brightly through the beautiful glass, allowing the light to pour in on the lovely interior while simultaneously keeping the furniture, rugs, and décor from fading.

As the window film works to keep the heat of the sun’s rays out of the Frank Lloyd Wright home, it also allows for an unimpeded view to the outside world around it. This new Vista solar window film will ensure that the renovated Frank Lloyd Wright Penfield House will remain cool and safe from the damaging sun.

FormulaOne by AES is proud to say that we have 41 years of experience in the window tinting and film industry and we’re happy to say that we use the best materials and latest application techniques to complete all customer projects. Vista window film is one of our most used products for privacy, reducing glare, reducing heat, and providing a crisp view without darkness. Decorative Tinting For Creating Large Logos

Decorative Tinting: Film And Vinyl

You might be surprised to learn that window tinting for exterior windows or auto windows isn’t all that tinting can be used for these days. In fact, one type of project that FormulaOne By AES really enjoys doing is creating custom artwork for companies to match their branding or design of choice. Our decorative tinting projects are most often utilized in places like conference rooms, lobbies, educational institutions, and accent walls in offices.

One example of our custom work was actually done a few months ago. One particular FormulaOne project was completed with the OU School Of Law back in September. At the beginning of this particular project all we started out with was a photo of the school’s logo. Our team got right work on ensuring that this decorative tinting would be amazing! Many hours went into the re-creating process of the logo which was acceptable for film and vinyl.

In the end, the staff on board at OU School of Law was so pleased with the final product of the decorative tinting that it appeared in a commercial which was shot of their new area in the library. Throughout the commercial you may see several shots of the LLumar Window Film in White Frost with black vinyl, but there was also another wall covered with the decorative tinting logo which was done in Oracal Red (as seen in the photo above). To view this commercial, click here.

If you’re considering the installation of decorative tinting from FormulaOne by AES here are a few extras you may want to know about:

  • Our decorative tinting is fully-backed by the Nationwide FormulaOne Transferable Lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty.
  • The film is protective against heat.
  • It reduces glares from sunlight.
  • The tint offers protection from ultraviolet radiation.

Window Film For Energy Savings This Winter

Get Your Estimate On EnerLogic Window Film

Over the last few years more companies have joined the “going green” craze taking action towards conserving energy while preserving the needs of basic human needs. In today’s architectural designs of newer buildings you’ll often see the incorporation of many windows for bringing in a lot of natural light, a necessary aspect of life. The only downside to all these windows is that the heat levels either rise in summer or escape in winter, making the company spend more to keep the working environment comfortable. This is counterproductive to their plan to be “green” in the first place. Luckily, companies like EnerLogic have come up with a practical window film solution.

EnerLogic has worked for the past 18 years to develop the best window film that provides an energy solution without sacrificing light. This wonderful window film allows the natural light to come in while blocking the harsh UV rays which is the heat we don’t see, but feel. In the winter time it works to contain the heat from the building preventing the need to switch on the heater too much.

Building managers are excited to see the amount energy savings! In fact, EnerLogic talks about one project where the company was able to saved 15 million dollars on using the EnerLogic window film product rather than having to have complete window replacement. This savings is thanks to the fact that they didn’t have to remove any scaffolding from the building or reconstruct anything in order to apply the window film.

With just windows blinds alone, you still have to worry about the glare of the sun at certain times of the day. Imagine being able to control the light streaming in without the harsh glare on computer screens. Having this capability allows commercial business workers to be more productive!

Ready to start seeing energy savings this winter? To get your estimate on EnerLogic window film, please feel free to give FormulaOne by AES a call at 405-513-6400.

Residential Window Tinting- Professionals- Window Film

2 Reasons To Hire A Professional For Residential Window Tinting

Residential Window Tinting: A Do-It-Yourself Project Or A Do-Not?

There seems to be a lot of hype online these days with the “do-it-yourself” crowd. Everyone thinks “oh, I can do that” about many things, but the fact is not everyone can do everything. Does a fish climb a tree? No. Don’t be silly. In all seriousness we encourage people to judge their true ability before attempting a seemingly simple project like residential window tinting. While it may seem like an easy enough thing to do on your own, it’s a little more involved than you may realize.

Today, we’d like to provide you with a few reasons why you should hire a professional for your residential window tinting.

#1: Professionals Have The Inside Scoop On Various Options.

Many of the window films available in home improvement stores are thinner and less durable than brands offered by a professional company. There are many types of residential window tinting materials and styles that could be used. Having a professional on your side means having someone to bounce your ideas off of and get feedback about what might function best for what you desire.

#2: Professionals Can Get The Job Done Right.

You may start your project with intention to go slowly and get everything perfect only to realize that there are air bubbles in the tinting. Who wants that look? Yikes! Although applying residential window tinting may seem easy there’s a lot that could go wrong in DIY the process. Professionals will be able to complete the job right the first time. They’ll cover all the bases from precisely cutting each piece of window film to size, cleaning the windows prior to adhesion, and applying the tinting without bubbling.

When you choose to hire a professional for residential window tinting you’re guaranteeing quality results without the hassle of trying to figure it out by yourself. For your next window tinting project, FormulaOne By AES would love to that professional company for you! Give us a call at 405-513-6400.

Frosted Glass Window Film

Get The Frosted Glass Look With Window Film

Use Window Film Rather Than Replace Your Glass

A lot of spaces have areas where glass windows or doors are part of the design. In some cases it’s perfectly fine to have the clear, wide open feel of plain glass. In other cases, the home or office just looks too boring with plain glass and it needs a little sprucing up. In cases such as these, frosted glass has been a choice among many designers. In fact, frosted glass can be found in many realms including minimalism, hi-tech, and modern trends. This can be for both privacy and aesthetics. Guess what? You can actually achieve this stylish, frosted glass look with window film.

Usually, frosted glass is created in one of two ways. The first way consists of acid-etching clear sheets of glass for a smoother finish. The other way to achieve a similar look is by sandblasting the glass with actual sand, walnut husks or other materials which creates an interesting design effect. With window film you can see a smooth, white hue to the surface of the glass, just like etching would.

So, if you’ve been thinking about ditching your old, plain glass doors or windows and purchasing all new ones, save yourself some money. Updating your old glass with frosted window film is much easier than total replacement. Our window film process will allow your space to have the distinctive, satin-like appearance for less work.

Additional colored window film designs can also be added, if desired. The frosted glass window film can be great for windows or doors that are facing the outside, are inside an office, or are in a home. If you’re interested in achieving the frosted glass look with window film, FormulaOne is available to help you do just that!

Please feel free to give us a call for your next frosted glass project. We can be reached at 405-513-6400.

One Way Mirror Film- Window Tinting

Tinting An Office Window With One Way Mirror Film

Window Tinting: A One Way Mirror Film Project

A one way mirror, also known a two-way mirror, allows viewers to see out of one side while the other side is reflective. These popular one way mirrors are well known, most likely, in part from detective television shows. The one way mirror film, however; has become a popular choice for office windows. This method of window tinting provides privacy for an office space and those that happen to walk by will only see their reflection.

In case you’re wondering whether your business would look alright with one way mirror film applied to the windows, we’ve provided a short list of company types that have recently had this same installation completed:

  • Insurance agents
  • Credit unions
  • Churches
  • Coffee shops
  • Doctor’s offices
  • Dealerships
  • Private businesses

Truthfully, it can look good just about anywhere and provide just the right amount of privacy with a touch of elegance. There’s just something rather nice about a mirrored look, isn’t there? Of course, this generally only applies to businesses that are operating during daytime hours. This distinction is important to note, because there is no such thing as a completely dark one way mirror. If lights are on inside during evening hours it may be possible for outside viewers to see inside.

This is why many customers elect to install the one way mirror films for daytime privacy. If your office operates during the day then just know that you don’t have to be as serious as an interrogation room to have a little window mirror film or tinting. As an added bonus to having the reflective, one way mirror film added to your outside windows you won’t have harsh rays of sun gleaming over your computer screens, carpet, or desks.

We love helping people achieve the window tinting look that they desire. If you’re looking for one way mirror film, please feel free to give FormulaOne by AES a call for your next office window project. We can be reached at 405-513-6400.

Auto Window Tinting- Privacy

Adding A Little Privacy With Auto Window Tinting

One Good Reason For Auto Window Tinting

Have you ever stopped at a light and realized the guy next to you was staring at you the entire time? Have you ever come out of the grocery store to find some stranger peeking in your car windows? Have you ever felt the need to hide personal belongings under the seat of your car while going to the gym? We don’t think a little privacy is too much to ask, but you can’t tell everyone that. Whether you’re driving around or parked off road someplace you deserve to have something that will keep prying eyes off of your belongings. Auto window tinting is a wonderful choice for adding a little privacy to your ride.

Auto window tinting offers just enough darkness so that if someone is on outside looking in they won’t be able to see much. On the flip side of things, it’s also a very safe addition for drivers as it still lets in enough light to see what you’re doing when you’re driving around. This would be ideal for driving around in places that you may not be familiar with or if you happen to be driving in a questionable area of town.

Rather than trying to stash away all of your valuables when you park your car at a local grocery store, you can rely on high quality window tinting to shade the inside of your car. Does that sound like the kind of privacy you want?

If you’re in the market for auto window tinting consider FormulaOne by AES for your installation. We are known for our quality products and exceptional expertise. We also offer top of the line products with a fully-backed Nationwide Transferable Lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty.

If you have a vehicle that is in need of some auto window tinting, give FormulaOne by AES a call at 405-513-6400!

Residential Window Tinting 2

Top Reasons To Have Residential Window Tinting: Part 2

4 Reasons To Consider Window Tinting For Your Home

There are many significant reasons to choose residential window tinting in addition to or instead of drapes or mini-blinds. In part one of this series we talked about 4 of those reasons. Aside from the fact that FormulaOne has been providing high quality service since 1973, we have a few more compelling reasons you should consider residential window tinting for your next window treatment project.

1.) Window tinting has a lifetime warranty.
This one may be limited to our company only, of course! What we mean by this window tinting warranty is that a limited warranty coverage may be transferred from the original purchaser(s) to subsequent owner(s) of the home in which the manufacturer’s products were installed.

2.) Window tinting adds home value.
As mentioned in the previous reason, the lifetime warranty is transferable. We’d like to think this adds an extra value to the home in the fact that the new owner will have the warranty and the all the benefits that window tinting has to offer, too!

3.) Window tinting is safe.
Should you decide to go with only window tinting in place of blinds or drapes you won’t have to worry about dangling cords or strings that your children can get tangled up in. This makes window tinting a safer alternative than blinds or drapes for families with small children and babies.

4.) Window tinting can be aesthetically pleasing.
You may imagine that all window tinting is dark, but that’s not the case. Our window tinting can actually do everything we’ve mentioned (throughout part 1 and 2 of this blog series) without giving off that dark or mirrored look, because if you’d like you can choose to have a frosted glass look.

If you don’t need another second to decide that window tinting is right for your next home project, feel free to give FormulaOne a call at 405-513-6400!
