Frosted Window Tinting

Various Shades Of Frosted Color Blocking Window Tinting Film

Privacy Meets Decorative In This Window Tinting Project

The white frost look has become quite popular for privacy purposes in many different offices. It’s not uncommon to see white frost window tinting film being used between cubicles that have glass windows separating them or for doors with glass windows leading to an office. Today, our FormulaOne by AES team is showing how various shades of frosted window tinting film can be utilized to create a unique design.

What’s great about the darker frost is that it allows for a bit of privacy and by mixing it up with the lighter window tinting film the office door’s window looks a lot more glamourous. This color blocking effect is affordable, functional, and also decorative. As you can see in both the cover photo of this article and the full size photo below, the sections of frosted window tinting film have been perfectly placed to create a symmetrical look on both sides.

Use Window Film Rather Than Replace Your Glass

A lot of spaces have areas where glass windows or doors are part of the design. In some cases it’s perfectly fine to have the clear, wide open feel of plain glass. In other cases, the home or office just looks too boring with plain glass and it needs a little sprucing up. In cases such as these, frosted glass has been a choice among many designers. In fact, frosted glass can be found in many realms including minimalism, hi-tech, and modern trends. This can be for both privacy and aesthetics. Guess what? You can actually achieve this stylish, frosted glass look with window film.

Usually, frosted glass is created in one of two ways. The first way consists of acid-etching clear sheets of glass for a smoother finish. The other way to achieve a similar look is by sandblasting the glass with actual sand, walnut husks or other materials which creates an interesting design effect. With window film you can see a smooth, white hue to the surface of the glass, just like etching would.

So, if you’ve been thinking about ditching your old, plain glass doors or windows and purchasing all new ones, save yourself some money. Updating your old glass with frosted window film is much easier than total replacement. Our window film process will allow your space to have the distinctive, satin-like appearance for less work.

Additional colored window film designs can also be added, if desired. The frosted glass window film can be great for windows or doors that are facing the outside, are inside an office, or are in a home. If you’re interested in achieving the frosted glass look with window film, FormulaOne is available to help you do just that!
