Types of Auto Window Tinting Pt. 2

More types of Auto Window Tinting

Formula One by AES has a couple of other window tints you may want to consider when getting the windows tinted on your car. We’ve already covered 2 options in last week’s blog, but here are 2 more options you may want to consider when getting window tints done on your car.

Hybrid Window Tinting: As the name suggests, this style of window tinting is designed to give you the benefits of Metalized and Dyed window tints, but none of the disadvantages. It consists of a sticky under-layer with a dyed and metalized layer on top with a protective layer on top of all of it. And it mostly accomplishes what is sets out to do. It blocks UV light and cuts down on glare from the sun. It doesn’t interfere with radio and cell phone waves like Metalized layers can. It’s at reduced risk of fading because of the metal layer. It also reflects heat very effectively. The only real downside is that it is more expensive than getting a dyed layer. Although it should be noted that this type of window tinting is often less expensive than getting a full Metalized window tinting.

Ceramic Film: The last kind of window tinting is Ceramic film tinting. As the name suggests, a thin layer of ceramic is layered between a sticky underlayer and a protective top layer much like the dyed window tinting. Ceramic tints allow for radio waves to pass through while also reflecting back heat and UV rays. They can cut down the glare from the sun and aren’t prone to fading like dyed tints. They are also far less reflective than metal tints meaning the window tinting will have that matte look most people are looking for. Cermic is however, the most expensive option. But it might just be worth it.

Those are the main kinds of window tints you’ll run into when deciding on how to tint your car’s windows. If you need any kind of tinting, give Formula One by AES a call today at 405-513-6400.

Window Tinting as a safety measure?

Window Tinting can help cool your home but could it also protect you in other ways?

Well, in a way, yes. Window tints and film mostly help protect you by strengthening the glass panes and reducing the chances of shattering. Window tinting and films are applied by stretching it over the windows themselves. This lets professionals install window tints and films without having to remove or replace glass panes but it also has the secondary benefit of giving the window another layer of strength.  In addition, the film also helps protect against shattering by acting as a net to catch the shards. The glass may crack, but it’s far less likely to shatter and send glass shards at you and your family.

Additional Privacy

A vehicle with tinted windows is harder to look into, some people like the privacy that gives them as well as how it hides any valuables they keep in there car. The same idea goes for window tinting in your home. If a thief can’t see into your home, they’ll be less likely to break in. Additionally, because the window tinting will strengthen your windows it’ll be that much harder for a thief to break in.

Extra protection from storms

Raging storms are a scary thought. Storms like to throw debris around. During one of these storms the risk of shattering windows is high. Window tinting provides additional protection by not only strengthening your homes windows but by also preventing shattering. The window tinting can catch the cracked glass and keep it from spilling into your home with the rain and wind. Storms are scary enough, don’t add the extra stress of worrying about shattered glass in your home.

Window tinting and film are a solid investment in more ways than just saving energy. Give Formula One by AES a call today at 405-513-6400!

Window Tinting Film Benefits Even In The Fall

Window Tinting Helps In Cooler Weather, Too

It seems it took Oklahoma a little while to catch up and leave behind those warm, summer days, but just because it’s no longer hitting close to 80 or 90 degrees outside, doesn’t mean that your window tinting will cease to be amazing. If you don’t have window tinting, you might just change your mind!

There is still sunlight in the fall right? Of course! Where there is sunlight there are the sun’s harmful UV rays, as well. No matter what the cooler weather brings along with it, it’s important to be prepared, because the sunlight is still present during the day. In fact, all day long UV rays will enter your home, causing furniture and flooring to fade over time. If you’re sitting inside, you’re at risk of soaking up UV rays, too. One easy way to be protected from the sun’s harmful rays is with window tinting film.

FormulaOne By AES offers several different window tinting options for residential homes, but the one things the varieties have in common is the ability to keep out harmful UV rays. Heating the home when temperatures drop is also something to think about. Did you know that windows alone are not effective when it comes to heating your home? That’s what makes window tinting even more amazing. As it works to keep out UV rays, reduced heating costs for the fall is an inevitable bonus benefit.

Protection couldn’t be more simple. If you want to know more about window tinting film benefits for the fall, please feel free to contact our team members.

If you own your house and you are ready to start seeing energy savings, protect your belongings all year long, and have protection for yourself from harmful UV rays, let’s get started with your window tinting project! Please feel free to give FormulaOne by AES a call at 405-513-6400.

Saving Your Greenhouse Plants With Window Tinting

Window Tinting Keeps Your Plants Going Strong

Now that it is officially fall, temperatures are bound to start dropping accordingly. That being said, many gardeners have ended their work for the season. Of course, greenhouse owners have an advantage as they can keep their plants alive longer. Guess what? Window tinting can make growing your plants in a greenhouse, with glass windows, even more effective!

Window tinting has the capability of insulating a greenhouse so that the heat can remain inside rather than escaping into the outdoors. It’s a wonderful way to ensure that your glass greenhouse stays warm throughout the fall and even in the winter months to come. With the window tinting film doing the work to reflect the heat back inside your greenhouse for you, the price of your energy bill doesn’t have to be so expensive.

If you’re worried that window tinting would block the sunlight from getting to your plants, fear not! FormulaOne by AES has plenty of film options for you which still allow sunlight to come through while allowing your plants to survive Oklahoma’s fluctuating temperatures. Also, if you opt to have film applied to your greenhouse windows now, it will still provide year-round benefits. What we mean is that in the spring and summer months, it’ll work opposite and keep the cool air inside.

As if thriving plants weren’t a good enough reason to consider window tinting, think about protecting yourself. As you work long hours in your garden you’ll also be protected from harmful UV rays thanks to the design of our window tinting films.

Do you own a greenhouse? Are you ready to start seeing energy savings, protect your plants all year long, and have protection for yourself from harmful UV rays? To get started with your customized project, please feel free to give FormulaOne by AES a call at 405-513-6400.

Commercial Window Tinting

3 Benefits Of Window Tinting For Commercial Properties

Window Tinting For Commercial Buildings

There are several benefits for commercial properties and buildings to install high-quality window tinting. The three main benefits include the provisions of; ROI, comfort, and privacy.

Return On Investment:

First of all, window tinting can reduce the heat transfer from the sun by up to 85%. That means that window tinting your office windows could save the operation money! A building with windows of any size will see a return on investment, because heat stays out and the air conditioner can be used less. You don’t have to wait to see the changes either, applying window tinting yields immediate and measurable results.

Comfort: Having windows in your place of business means that it’s prone to problems like hot spots, glare, and heat that causes fluctuating temperatures. Quality window tinting; however, provides up to 99% protection of Ultraviolet light as well as reduces glares up to 95%. Commercial window tinting helps regulate temperatures by decreasing heat transmission and glare, getting rid of hotspots means that your air conditioner doesn’t have to work as hard to keep that one spot at the desired temperature meanwhile making the rest of the building frigid.

Privacy: Whether you want a little buffer between the outside world and your shop or you need individual office space privacy, a quality window tinting job can take care of the issue.

***BONUS***: Yes, we said three benefits, but there’s more! *Insert Genius Laughter*

Windows on the outside of a building are usually the weakest point of the structure. A thick security window film will help hold the glass together if it’s shattered. This combined with a dark film can reduce the likelihood of burglary. FormulaOne by AES offers several different films to meet your specific needs. We also offer films that provide insulating benefits year round, so when the winter months come around you’ll be able to stay warm while spending less. Top 4 Reasons To Switch From Curtains To Window Tinting

Window Tinting Countdown…Ready, Set, Replace!

Watch any home improvement show and you’ll see that curtains are a mainstay of many homes, but there are benefits to using window tinting film over having bulky curtains. Here, we provide the top 4 reasons you should think about replacing your curtains for window tinting:

#1- UV Protection:

Unless you have your windows tinted, Ultraviolet Rays (UV) are going to come through your windows. Unfortunately, using a window shade or curtains won’t entirely block the UV light from getting through. The damage can be detrimental to your home’s furnishings and can fade carpet, walls, and the curtains themselves. UV rays can also affect your health. Rays of UV light are known to cause skin damage and, if overly exposed without protection, even cancer. Without a UV blocking window tinting film, chances are you and your home are being affected by UV light. Professionally installed window tinting can reduce UV light in your home by up to 99.99% offering a lot of protection.

#2- Saving Energy:

We talk a lot about energy efficiency here at FormulaOne, but it can’t be overstated. Getting professionally installed window tinting will help your windows perform better in the summer, keeping your cooling costs down. Our Enerlogic brand also helps the performance of your windows by increasing their insulation properties. Curtains simply can’t compete with good window tinting.

#3- Reducing Glare:

If you use curtains then you know you have to keep them closed all the time if the light from a windows falls on the TV. Sometimes, this means you have to choose between having a decent view and watching the TV. Window tinting fixes this issue by reducing the glare and allowing you to still use the window without blocking it off. Getting your home’s windows tinted is a good option if you’ve ever felt trapped behind heavy curtains.

#4- Privacy:

Window films can prevent people from looking into your home as well as adding an extra layer of security. The films that we place on windows will make windows more durable, often preventing the glass from scattering once the window has been broken. Let’s see curtains do that.

Science Museum Oklahoma- Blue Window Tinting Film

The Long-Lasting Decorative Window Tinting At Science Museum Oklahoma

Way Back Wednesday: Remembering A Past Window Tinting Project

It may be an understatement to say that many people’s lives have been enriched by visiting the Science Museum Oklahoma (possibly remembered by some as the Omniplex). For generations people have marveled at the scientific wonders and new discoveries found inside. Taking a look at the museum’s history you will learn that the building itself has changed quite a bit as it has gone through many transformations since 1958. Of course, a building isn’t just about being inviting on the inside, because it’s the outside décor that has to almost subconsciously draw someone in. That’s where decorative window tinting came into play at the end of February, 2016.

FormulaOne by AES had the privilege and honor of being hired last year to apply some decorative window tinting film to the many glass pieces that now make up the sidewalk’s awning outside of the Science Museum Oklahoma. Each piece of film was carefully measured, cut, and individually applied to each rectangularly shaped piece of glass. The unique blue color of the film was meant to mimic a sort of stained glass, but at a fraction of the cost!

Now, over one year later visitors can still see the results of our handy work sticking on strong. The durable, decorative window tinting is certainly a long-lasting film that is still doing its job of providing protection from the sun’s heat, glare, and Ultraviolet Radiation. If you’ve never really taken the time to notice this film before, now you know why it’s there. If it’s been a while since your last visit, next time you’re out at the Science Museum Oklahoma look up at the decorative window tinting on your way inside!

We love helping businesses achieve various looks with many different window tinting options. If you own a business and you’d like to get started with your own project that will be sure to last for years to come, feel free to contact FormulaOne by AES at 405-513-6400.

Window Tinting- Zoes Kitchen

Zoe’s Kitchen Reduces Solar Heat With Reflective Window Tinting

Window Tinting With Vista By LLumar Soft Horizons V33

Have you ever thought about all the work that goes into planning and running a restaurant? No matter what kind of restaurant it is, the owner has a lot of little details to attend to. Everything from the artwork, to the wall color, and all the way to the seating selection makes up a specific ambience. Then, there are the financial things to think about and bills to be paid. Solar heat coming in through the windows can surely make those energy bills skyrocket and that’s where window tinting becomes a wonderful solution.

Today, we’re talking about how the restaurant owner of Zoe’s Kitchen near Quail Springs Mall decided to add some window tinting to their glass doors and windows for multiple reasons. This owner of a fast and casual Mediterranean-inspired restaurant certainly wanted to keep the interior tables, chairs, and floors looking their best, yet still allow for high-visibility outside. Additionally, saving money on energy bills never sounds like a bad idea to any business owner!

FormulaOne by AES took this information into consideration and the decision to apply a neutral window tinting film seemed like the best option. Vista by Llumar Soft Horizons V33 is a lighter version of reflective window tinting film that provides moderate heat rejection (up to 54%) and reduces the glare while eliminating fade-causing ultraviolet sunlight. In this way, the film on the glass is a protection system for the materials inside the restaurant, provides energy savings, and also provides a comfort for the customers sitting inside.

Do you have a restaurant, commercial office, or a room in your house where you would like to block harsh sun rays? We have many different window tinting options to choose from to make the project perfectly suited for your needs. To get started with your project, please feel free to give FormulaOne by AES a call at 405-513-6400.
